NutriCities/NutriCidades was a Loughborough University based and British Academy financed research project (Principal Investigator Antonis Vradis and Research Associates Christos Fillipidis and Timo Bartholl) that was realized in the favelas of the Maré/Rio de Janeiro – Brazil from September 2017 to December 2018. While this blog mainly follows the purpose to disseminate research experiences related to the research project to a Brazilian audience, we also share some texts and videos in English.

Some general information on the NutriCities/NutriCidades research project as part of British Aacademy’s International Cities and Infrastructure Programme you can find on BA’s homepage.

The project’s Community Reports, that are bilíngue (PT & ENG), you can find under “Relatórios Comunitários“.

And in the video section under “Thematic panels” you can assist to two presentations, those of Antonis Vradis and Raj Patel, in English.

And confer the article “Do You Know What Food Sovereignty Is? Favela Agroecology Discussed at Event in Maré” on the Week of Food Sovereignty on the platform “Rio On Watch”.
